Train with ASSET at Our New Security Training Centre
ASSET is excited to announce that we have officially moved to our new North Lakes Location!
The new security training centre is located at 18 Flinders Parade, North Lakes.
The beautiful new facility includes four large training rooms, computer labs for online learning components and a large kitchen with a balcony for our students.
We are excited to have our new state of the art facility to better accommodate all the talented security professionals who study with us.
At our Security Training Centre we offer a wide selection of security courses for those starting out and those upskilling in the industry.
Our Certificate II in Security Operations is an eight-day intensive program run by our industry leading trainers that gives you everything you need to get started in the security industry, check out personal stories from our previous students here.
At our North Lakes security training centre, we run our Cash-in-Transit courses for Security guards looking to upskill and specialise in this popular area of security.
It’s a common misconception that cash-in-transit guards only deal with large cash amounts usually collected from the ATM in an armoured vehicle, but the truth is they can be transporting jewellery, machinery, anything of great value.
The North Lakes security training centre is also the location where we teach our Firearms and Defensive Tactics course, this specialised course gives security professionals all the skills, training, and qualifications they require to carry and operate a firearm as an armed guard.
Moving forward
2021 is going to a big year for us and for the industry with the new Certificate III in Close Protections Operations for those guards wanting to get into the exciting field of bodyguarding and the new Certificate III in Security Operations.
Add yourself to the waiting list to hear about these qualifications as soon as we have more information.
Current statistics
The security industry has gone from strength to strength over the past few decades with massive growth, the Australian Bureau of statistics reported that in 2015 there were over 52,000 people working in the security sector compared with just under 45,000 police officers.
And if this last year is anything to go by the industry will continue to grow and flourish.
If you’re interested in learning more about our training options, getting started in the industry or how we can support established guards to take the next step in their careers contact us.
