Recognition of Prior Learning

Our assessors will evaluate and document your prior experience and knowledge, and if applicable, align this experience with a current Nationally Recognised Unit of Competency or Qualification offered by Asset College.

QLD Government funded training

The Queensland Government’s VET Investment plan is focused on ensuring that Queenslanders have the best possible access to quality training programs that will lead to sustainable employment. For this reason, eligible applicants can acquire industry skills to meet employment and business demands through a range of programs.

The Certificate 3 Guarantee and Higher Level Skills Programs offer eligible individuals subsidised training to increase their skills and advance their career.

NSW Government funded training

Asset College is also able to deliver funded training in New South Wales. Eligible participants can access fee-free training for CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations under the NSW Government Smart and Skilled, Skilling For Recovery program.

This funding is in response to skills shortages in the state which see the number of roles available in the industry outweigh the number of licensed security officers available to work.

Construction Skills Queensland Funding

Asset College is proud to be able to offer Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) funding to eligible construction industry employees. This funding is available to persons who are currently working or who have worked within the construction industry to enable them to advance their careers.

Lifelong learning is important for industry growth, as well as personal growth. This funding helps to ensure that the construction industry upskills and reskills it’s people to maintain a strong and skilled workforce into the future.

Scholarships

We have worked hard to cement a number of strong industry partnerships in the security industry since our inception in 2006. One of the most exciting programs that we have launched is in partnership with MSS Security. In response to gaps in their workforce, MSS Security are now offering scholarships for eligible persons with a direct training to employment pathway.

Selected scholarship participants will have their training and licence paid for the first year and guaranteed employment with MSS Security! This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for a change of career.
