Crowd Control Experience Led Teomner to New Role

Before entering a career in security, Teomner worked as a Warehouse Store Person. This was a job he had done for 9 years; since the age of 18! He decided that it was time for a change.

Teomner was registered with Tursa Employment and Training and heard about the free security information sessions through his Employment Consultant and decided to come along. There was nothing to lose to learn about new opportunities!

Teomner studied his security course at our Logan office in 2019 and continued to engage with ASSET’s employment services team right up until now, exploring all opportunities that were available to him. He continued to gain experience in the industry in pubs and clubs throughout 2019 – 2020.

“The course was great. We had a great information session. The instructors were very experienced and although we had a lot to get through in the training, it made it easier having trainers who still worked in the industry too!”

Teomner found out about his new role through the hard work Rebecca Cuneo puts into staying in contact with previous students and their employment service providers!

“My consultant at Tursa told me that Rebecca would be calling me on a Thursday about opportunities with Trident for shopping center Security Officers in the Ipswich area. She called me and the next day I was in for an interview with Trident and I start work next week!”
