At ASSET, we love to see a thriving campus culture at each of our locations. Our staff and our décor in the student areas has been specifically designed to help cultivate a comfortable environment for everyone. One where our students and staff feel supported and encouraged. We want students and staff to enjoy everything the area has to offer which is why we have put together a ‘Best of North Lakes’ list with recommendations from staff and students list so you can find the best coffees, hairdressers and accommodation in the area.
As we receive more recommendations and advice from locals, we will continue to add businesses here!
The best coffee shop – Blue Infusion
This beautiful spot is just a stones throw away from the North Lakes ASSET Campus.
They offer a beautiful seasonal menu, juices and smoothies and the best coffee in the area.
Blue Infusion is famous for it’s house blend which includes beans from Tanzania, Brazil and Guatemala. They approach their blend like a fine science quality testing it each week top ensure it’s up to scratch.
If you’re jonesing for a coffee while on campus this is the brew for you!
The best accommodation – North Lakes Hotel
The beautiful North Lakes Hotel is situated right on the lakes, with idyllic views, 65 fully serviced rooms and an indoor children’s playroom.
This gorgeous venue also boasts a full-service restaurant and bar that looks out over Lake Eden. Enjoy a leisurely glass of wine while you take in the views or wander over the boardwalk for a gelati around sunset.
If you’re coming from out of town for a short course with ASSET, we rate the North Lakes Hotel for accommodation and ambiance.
The best Hairdresser – Samantha Jones Hair Co.
Serving up sass and style in equal measure from their beautiful position overlooking Lake Eden, Samantha Jones Hair Co specialises in blonde locks and balayage.
They also offer hair spa treatment so if your tresses are feeling stressed and you’re finishing up a course with us, why not treat yourself to a treatment with wonderful stylists at Samantha Jones Hair Co.
The best day spa – Pure Indulgence
Offering a wide range of services from massage to facials and pedicures you’re bound to find a treatment that suits you.
The spa is located in the Westfield shopping centre just around the corner from the ASSET campus on Flinders Parade making it a great local spot to visit during your course.
Pure Indulgence regularly run offers and packages making the luxurious affordable. Why not check out their services after class one day?
The best lunch spot – Fort Speciality Coffee
Located on Endeavor Boulevard in North Lakes, this quirky establishment is known for their off-beat vibe from their comic book murals down to the diner feel of the décor.
The menu includes creative twists on lunch favourites such as truffle egg quesadillas and lamb burgers and the coffee is fabulous too with another home blend on offer from locally sourced beans.
If you’re on a break at the North Lakes campus and looking for a tasty lunch, this is the spot for you.
