As a small business we know the importance of supporting our local small business community. At ASSET we are all about fostering a sense of community, both among our students and staff and through our partnerships.

That’s why we are putting together a list of the best spots to visit when you’re attending workshops on campus at our Ashmore location on the Gold Coast.

Best place to get pampered

If you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed with your study load there is no better place to rest and relax than Semaines Spa. This gorgeous little spa is located on Nerang road in Ashmore and they have several deluxe treatments to choose from.

We recommend the facials, Semaines Spa customises your facial treatments based on an assessment of your skin. And if you get three 1-hour facials you can get one for free, definitely check them out.

Best Haircut

Sometimes a haircut makes all the difference when you’re going for a new job.

Pop into Hair Biz at Ashmore Plaza and get yourself a fresh cut. They have stylists that cater to men and women’s cuts. You’ll get bang for your buck at Hair Biz.

Best Lunch Spot

Just down the road from Ashmore at Main Beach you can get rustic elegance, great views and a lovely spot of lunch at Hot Shot.

This restaurant puts thought into every dish. Try the rosemary, truffle and parmesan fries, they’re to die for!

Best spot for drink

When you’ve finished up your workshop you might want to find a nice spot to go and grab a drink with the friends you made in your course.

There’s no better spot for a celebratory drink than the Ashmore Tavern.  Ashmore Tavern offers all the classic pub fair such as burgers, steaks and pizzas so there’s plenty on the menu if you get peckish.

With several nicely designed areas this tavern has a great vibe. Perfect for a Friday knock off drink.

Best Breakfast

Head over to Green Days at Bundall, this beautiful serene spot brings together all your breakfast favorites with a relaxed atmosphere.

You can’t go past their ricotta hot cakes with roasted strawberry, white chocolate wattle seed cream and vanilla ice cream.

Best Florist

There’s no situation that isn’t improved with flowers. Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary or well wishes, flowers are always nice to give for almost any occasion.

If you’re looking for a spot to pick up some flowers for that someone special, look no further than Ashmore City Florist.

Best Workout

If you’re in the mood to break a sweat head over to Ashmore City shops for a great workout at Reforma Pilates.

If you’re looking out try out a different pilates studio while you’re coming to classes at ASSET, we recommend trying out Reforma. With their state of the art equipment and holistic approach to wellbeing Reforma is the perfect place to sweat away the days concerns.
